So, haven't posted in a while. Mostly because I've been crazy busy. My research is finally moving, so I'm spending more time at work. Plus I'm taking some time off next week to go home to Kansas, so I have to make up the hours for that. Then the political scene is heating up. So in the evening, if I'm not watching a debate on tv, I'm at a meeting, or volunteering at the Grijalva office. Then when I am watching TV, I've been beading like mad, because inspiration has finally come back to me. So. Yeah, I've been a little busier than usual lately.
THEN, part of the reason that I am going home to Kansas next week is because there is going to be a big reunion for my fraternity at homecoming, and I'm planning to go. A small group of us have been emailing back and forth lately, getting caught up a little before the reunion, and someone decided to share pictures. Well I sent them to my work page, which has my engagement photo on it, and a few of them followed the link to my personal page, and then to my beading page. Now suddenly I've got friends placing turtle orders, talking about placing orders for Christmas presents, and one friend even talking about seeing if he can get an order for my pieces at a store he sometimes does work for! Now, all of this is unbelievably wonderful, but AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
::takes deep breath::
Two weeks ago I was bored out of my skull. I wasn't getting much done at work, I wasn't beading, I was slacking off in my activism/political spheres. Now I'm busy every waking moment! When it rains, it pours!
I'm enjoying it so far, but I'm also very glad that I already have a vacation planned for next week. And there's work that I can do during that vacation, or I can choose not to. So if things get crazy, I've got a release valve...
Have to go. Must stain gel.

That was definitely the only time I read that sentence today. :)
I placed an order for a turtle earlier today. I didn't realize you were being bombarded! If you want to put my turtle on hold for a while, that would be fine. I don't want you to bead yourself to pieces!
If so yay
You are at KU these days? What are you studying?
