Zogby International (a polling company) just placed Arizona on its list of battleground states it will monitor for the election. A few weeks ago I'd read a newspaper article using the fact that Arizona wasn't on that list to make the case that Arizona was not a swing state and that it would automatically go to Bush this fall. I got quite depressed about this, actually. But now it is on the list. So there.

The most interesting thing I learned exploring the Zogby website was that even larger than the gender gap is the "passport gap." Kerry has a HUGE margin over Bush among those voters who currently hold active passports, while Bush actually has a small edge with non-passport holding voters. At first I had no idea why they were asking me if I had a passport (I don't), but I suppose it makes sense.

So quick. Make all the Republicans you know request rushed passports and get them to take a small trip out of the country as soon as possible.
